The module is part of the rack and not available separately.

Ahh I get it now, you want the electronic module for the steering column combination switch 1K0 953 549 AM. These are £256.91 from VW. I could not look the number up earlier as my parts system was updating. What is the problem you are having?

Yeah thanks it's the module, my brother has it in his garage, apparently there are 16 different parts and some have been changed and found not to fit, I have sourced a few but none with the AM code , my power steering has gone and steering light is on

The steering column module has nothing to do with the steering........

It all came about when I changed the steering wheel, the car was damaged repaired in 2011, it was fitted with a 1.6 steering wheel and the horn had been redirected to a button beneath the dash, I wanted it all putting right so I bought the GT steering wheel, fixed the horn but steering problem occurred, when we put the horn back to the redirected button the steering goes ok, having absolute murders

I need your VIN and the controller number from the steering assist system (via a code read) plus the part numbers off of the column electrics (6) and the slip ring (4).
