No good for me but you guys who use a SIM in your dash for Google etc.
Order a SIM card from ASDA, top up £5 and you get 12GB data to be used by 1st Jan or get the EE christmas sim offer for £10 and get 100GB a month for 2 months.
May be of use to someone...

Asda use the EE network so should have pretty good 3G coverage.
Ee one is a great deal.
They always have these kinds of deals every 2-3 months. Last time was a summer bonus of 100gb a month.
If you time it right and order 2 sims you activate one at the start and get 2 months then on the last day of the offer activate the other one with a tenner so you get 4 months of 100gb for £20

Any calls you make will come from your calls allowance not data allowance, whether using a phone via bluetooth, or using the SIM itself.

Depends what version of the MMI software your car is running. Cars up until model year 2014 couldn't have simultaneous bluetooth handsfree connection to a phone while a sim was in the dash, but this was changed for MY14. MMI software 0770 and above will allow simultaneous connection. If your car is older, it's possible to have the software updated (mine was) and then have a small tweak done by a forum member with VCDS to enable the green hidden menu, from which you can enable NAD operation mode.
