Hi guys

My 2015 A6 Ultra is coming up to its 18k oil change/inspection. Can anyone give me a rough idea what they have been quoted by Audi to carry out the service? I would also be keen to hear of the comparative prices for an approved VAG dealership - i.e. an independent garage that will service my car without voiding the warranty? Any recommendations for a garage based in Cornwall that would undertake this other than Truro Audi would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Salisbury Audi charged me £312.56 for this.

Not in the Sout West admittedly, but I asked an independent to e-mail me a quote for a first service for my bitdi. Their quote was £160 ish against about £360 from the dealer.

I only produced the printed quote when booking the car in at Audi dealer and they matched it as they have to through the Audi Service Price Match.

The quote came from a local VAG specialist and I went in directly to see him and said that I would take it in to them for brakes etc in the future if he was ok with doing this for the service.

For first service at 19k miles I've been quoted £480 for my 2014 Audi A7, and that's just an oil change and inspection. The Authorised dealer is West London based. Quite expensive I think, quote was originally £580 but I asked for their best price but they wouldn't come down further!

I tried two other random dealers in the UK and they were quoting between £550-£580.

My preference would be an authorised Audi dealer but does anyone know of any good indi's in West London or surrounding counties? My service countdown clock is now showing 700 miles.

As opposed to hijacking the OP's post why not browse or post here?:

Ended up paying £285 from Truro Audi for oil service and inspection. Not bad.

Has anyone provided their own oil at all? If so which one? Dealers have said She'll Helix 5w-30 is the one they recommend...used to be Castrol? And we need only 5L?

Been quoted £298 for inspection service, oil change and pollen filter with me providing the oil otherwise it's £384

Am guessing it's any oil that is approved and meets VW 507.00 spec as per my C6....such as:

Quantum Longlife 3 5W-30 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil 5 Litre Bottle | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Quantum-Longlife-3-5W-30-Fully-Synthetic-Engine-Oil-5-Litre-Bottle-/172005217603?hash=item280c4f5543:g:zt0AAOSwtlhWFn~ x)

Am also guessing you've got a 2.0 as my 3.0 (albeit C6) will take 7.5, either way you'll need x 2 :)

Yup 2.0l Ultra. The service guys called back and said 0W-30 meeting spec 507.00 - as you said anything meeting the spec but there current flavour of the month is the shell helix ultra
