Hi guys and girls.
Im Dave, new to this forum but not to the world. Recently picked up a 2002 Allroad 2.7T, it is my first move into the german world having previously been a Jap car lover. Over to the dark side I guess. only had the car a couple of days but loving it already. It does have a few faults but a quick google seems to have most of them cracked as they appear to be common problems, suspension and a three light error from the brake switch. I have ordered a compressor Rebuild kit from Andy on this site so will start there with the suspension issue and see if that fixes it. The car needs some TLC but the engine has been well looked after and the auto box is nice and smooth.
I do love to tinker with cars so will be looking to make a few subtle upgrades (don't worry i won't be driving through halyards and seeing what sticks) I am looking for a good Re-map for a little more power although i am aware the Allroad is no RS. If any one can recommend a good place local ish to Newbury in Berkshire where i can get the car mapped that would be nice.
ok that said i have a lot of searching to do to gain more info on the car. I am a mechanical fitter so handy with a spanner, i make a good cup of tea and I'm not afraid of getting dirty so if any one needs a hand in exchange for knowledge and a lift in return I'm keen to help.
Cheers all
Dave
