Hi All,
so i have had the FL A6 black edition for 16,000 miles now and love every bit of it. I am really missing the Homelink system though as I have electric garage doors and would love to retrofit this.
would any one have an idea of the parts list required and whether this needs coding to the car?
its a black edition so would require black roof panel buttons if this makes a difference. Nothing has cropped up on search function for this newer model.
thanks .....

Looks like a harness, control unit, roof panel and remote will be needed. Can’t find anyone that does/lists a full kit (lack of demand?) so maybe best to contact Kufatec (www.kufatec.co.uk) or HappyDayz (www.hazzydayz.com) for info.
Homelink garage door opener - harness - Audi A6, A7 4G-40575 (https://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/audi/a6/a6-4g/homelink-garage-door-opener-harness-audi-a6-a7-4g)
Might be costly... they do a kit for the TT (no remote): Homelink garage door opener - retrofit - Audi TT 8J-37615 (https://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/audi/tt/tt-8j/homelink-garage-door-opener-retrofit-audi-tt-8j)

Hi A4BEV
I have a garage door company and mainly fit Hormann ( German company ). Hormann have just introduced a socket that is paired with their remote controls so another make of electric door operator can be operated via this remote. They do a Cigar Lighter type remote that fits in the 12V socket. Seems this may be a cheaper option.

Really interested in this remote. Can be got at a good price as well. Any idea if it works with Merlin systems. Having just got a £14k tax bill, not a chance SWMBO would sign off on new doors. Shame as the Hormann system looks fantastic.

Thanks all for the pointers.
I actually have Hormann garage doors so will take a look at the other remote types. The remote i have always seems to get lost somewhere in the car hence looking at the homelink system. can you give me a part number or similar for the cigar lighter plugin?
thanks!

Hi A4Bev
It all depends on what frequency your operators are on 433 MHz 418MHz or the new 868MHz.
You should find it printed on the back of your remotes.

Will find out this week, price and how it works. I would only charge cost plus p&p. That's what being part of a forum is for eh ! :beerchug:
I'm pretty sure the Merlin 430r is 433 MHz. If it's compatible.....
