How to find number associated with data sim

An odd question I confess.....

I've got myself in a complete muddle with a couple of EE data sims and I now don't know which one is associated with which number - I have both numbers noted on top-up cards that I got originally with the sims but I don't know which is which!

Is there a way of finding the number of the data sim that has been inserted, using the MMI?

Send a different text to each number. You might need to temporarily set the data sim to be the main one for calling etc. even though you're not using it for outbound voice or text.

Look in the settings menu of "Tel" for how to do this but you might also find it shows your number in one of the sub menus.

Also the process to register on MyEE requires receipt of code via SMS. That's another option.

Oh, and the SIM serial number is frequently on the carrier card and top-up card.

When you've found out which is which, reset each SIM's PIN to, say, the last 4 digits of the phone number. That way you'll get 3 shots at working out which is which even if you don't apply PIN security each time. The car remembers it anyway. I use this facility to deduce whether a SIM "belongs" to my wife or 2 sons, each with unique PINs. I didn't fancy a people carrier so fortunately stopped at 2. Easier all round...

I'm not sure if dialling *#100# in the car will return the phone number (it does on a mobile) so give that a try - or put in a phone.
