Hi. New to this site thinking of buying 2003 A4 multitronic

Hi folks

i have put a deposit on a lovely 2003 A4 1.8T multitronic , 95,000 miles...mint! I have been told today from a friend to steer clear of this 2003 gearbox as it's notorious for problems. I'm due to collect from Ireland this week please any advise would be appreciated

welome to the forum. there are many , many folk who love their multitronicand indeed, they are an absolute joy and pleasure to drive. my first experience in one totally changed my view to auto's. But, and there is always a but, they didn't earn the nickname multichronic for nothing. if they do go wrong, which they can do, then they can cost an arm and a leg to fix... use the search function on here and i am sure you will learn something..

find out if its had the clutch pack upgrade and check if its had regular oil changes, if the answer of either is no walk away.
