Removed battery, charged battery, now key won't work... Can't get in!!

Hi,

I have been on a stag do for 4 days. So car has sat & not started. Got home late last night, tried starting car. Nope.

Removed battery, took it in the house & put it on charge all night.

This morning refitted it. Closed bonnet (left it on the latch over night)

Key no longer opens the car, I have done some googling & seen the procedure to make the car re-sync with the key.

BUT

The door won't unlock with the key???

Seems to make a noise turning anti clockwise but no noise turning clockwise. What way do you turn it to unlock?

Best way to get in (cheapest?)

The car magically fixed itself before a window got smashed. Crazy & no idea why!!
