View Full Version : Goodbye C6, hello C7
Said goodbye to my 59 reg C6 2.0tdi manual SE last week which I'd had for almost 6 years and 99000 miles. Most of the miles were motorway on daily commute and the car was 100% trouble free and needed nothing more than routine servicing and tyres. Picked up my new Ultra S Line S Tronic in Daytona Grey on 1st September, standard spec apart from heated seats. I know there's a lot of Daytona Grey about but I think it suits the car well and both of my previous A6's were black so time for a change.
I've done a few hundred miles in the C7 already and think it's great.... the S Tronic really suits the car and makes it an effortless cruiser.
I'll post some pics when it stops raining!
I've been reading the C6 and C7 forums for years and there's some great comments and advice on here..... I need to post more though!

Nice upgrade, the cabin is much nicer in the C7. Did you get a saloon or avant?
Got a saloon, I'll post some pics later. As 'estates' go I think recent A6 avants have looked pretty good, I just didn't need the extra space/versatility.
pics added now the sun's come out and I've had chance to take some.

Congrats, it is a nice progression from the C6 although that was not a bad car, the C7 feels a little bit eXtra. As for std spec. I have no idea what they throw on them this year but I'm sure its all good stuff. Yes the S-Tronic is a lovely manual box with auto functionality, I had Tiptronic in my C6 and S-Tronic is another world. I don't know if you get leather seats in the SE these days but, I have them and the fist time you sit in the cabin there is a real feeling & smell of excellence..... it all feels alittle more snug than the C6 yet the dimensions are actually larger... I like snug.
anyway, congrats on your new car... it is a real nice place to be going from A to B.

Very nice. Exactly the same as mine but mine is pre facelift. Same alloys as I went for although I have fitted 19s to mine for summer. Hope you don't have the Bridgestone Turanzas fitted- I really hated them and eventually put them on my wife's car where they are much better suited. They were really sketchy in damp and wet weather when I put the power down on corners.
