There is a guide on this forum showing all information needed and even I think includes on how to fit it. Do a search.

Bank 2 is the passenger side on a UK RHD car which is the easiest side to do and will take maybe 20 mins in total.
Bank 1 is slightly harder but possible and will take twice as long and a lot more swearing.
I've fitted both the swirl flap arm repair kits and the faults returned after 2k miles as the inlet manifold needs to come off to be cleaned and new internals.
I did a write up but can't find it...in fact it's very hard to find 'how to' guides not in the 'how to' section :(

There two kits.
The Audi one is just the pushrods and cost about £25 IIRC.
Not really worth it as the links are worn - but not as much as the flap spindle bearings!
Airshox (I believe they are a sponsor on here) Home - AirShox (http://airshox.eu/en/) do a range of full repair kits, varying in price depending on what you need.
Get the Airshox kit that has at least the rods, bearings and flaps. Make sure you take note of the way it goes together.
Check the motors are working be watching them move on start-up.
Also beware there can be wiring issues causing this fault too.
VCDS can test the motors, and I believe adapt them (Google will find it) if needed.

Bank 2 is passenger side, swirl flap motors = red boxes, ignore rest of markings as this was used for something else as well ;) .

As stated by Mark can be done without removing other bits but here is a video showing swirl flap motor removal and arm fitting.

Now not sure what to do. I have just found a complete re-manufactured unit on EBAY from Germany for £170.00, sold 182, only 14 left. any thoughts on this??

Am unsure at the reason for your confusion, did you follow the link for Airshocks that Paul posted?
As he states they're a forum sponsor and I think their price works out a few £'s cheaper than the £170 you've seen on Ebay...although you didn't post the link!
