Time between build date and delivery

This is probably going over old ground but i wondered if any body out in the ether could give me an idea (very roughly) of how long i will have to wait for delivery after the build date has passed (build date is 11 jan 16).
I ordered in May so i am defo getting fed up waiting!!

I understand How you feel, I ordered late April and have had my build date confirmed as week 39 (late September) and delivery to the dealer late October and anticipated probably about a week after that for delivery to me.

There does not seem to be any hard n fast rule here, I ordered mine beginning may, build date mid June, drove it away end June. Others not so lucky.

Yes,
it seems to vary depending on colour and what components need to be gathered together.

My dealer told me that the shipping company has 10 working days to get the car from the factory to the UK point of entry and a further 10 working days from the UK point of entry to the dealer. It should therefore take no more than 20 working days (4 weeks) for the car to reach the dealer. My own car was built in wk 26 (last week of june) and I collected it in the last week of July. On the basis of 11 January build week the car should be with your dealer by mid-Feb at the latest. On that basis you may want to delay delivery until 1st March to get the new registration

Has anyone out of interest used the Audi tracker to see status of car build?

Usually as above 4weeks from build date to delivery & so far that's how it's worked for me

I check it every 3 or 4 days and it has consistantly said 11th Jan for my car, appart from one day when it temporarily jumped to Jan 18th!!

Yeah I'm 'stuck' on the 'Preperation' phase as my car is on production line - but build week is wk 38 so guess as nothing has changed in a week they'll be just collecting all the Lego packs to make it [emoji5]️

It's not normally the spec that makes a difference to build and delivery dates.
Normally a dealer will have something like 20 different audis on order and when some one comes in wanting a factory build they can spec change one on the list as long as it's so many weeks before build.

Build and delivery dates are quite different. Build date (ie the date your car will be built) is variable depending on many things including colour, options specified and dealer quotas. Delivery date is the time taken for the car to be delivered once it has been built and that is fairly constant regardless of what spec your car is since once it is built it is built regardless of spec
