Hi guys. I'm new here but I really hope you can help.
I own a p reg sharan. Came home just now (10pm) after the wonderful weather (tons of rain) to find the front driver and passenger window open in the car!
These are the only two electric windows in the car.
The whole seat and footwells are completely flooded!
There's water everywhere! The windows won't go up! I press the up button and I can't hear the motor move. Nothing happens. I think the windows came down themselves.
Also right by the window is a red led for the central locking. It's fully on but dim. The central locking doesn't work and I can't open the back doors... They're locked shut.
The car does start fine though.
I'm thinking maybe water got in and fried some electrics..?
How do I go from here diagnosing and fixing the issue. I don't think it's a window motor problem because it doesn't make sense that both sides would completely go.... Possibly a fuse..??
Help please! Just got soaked temporarily taping up the windows with plastic bags in case it rains again.
