Speakers Crackling

Mrs Lyons phoned me this morning to say the speakers in the car were crackling when listening to both the radio and music on the AMI. However they were grand during the call to me.

I had a similar problem in my 8J TT that turned out to be water in the amp.

Anyone heard of anything similar in the C7?
