I am an Audi A3 cabriolet owner bought in October 2014. It has done about 5,550 miles and used for commute to work in flat Lincolnshire. This is 3 rd car for my wife who has driven for last 6 years. Few days ago when my was driving back from work after 1-2 miles car started smoking and stopped. I could not change gears and clutch pedal was flat. Audi assist has been great but now the showroom is saying this is wear and tear and not covered under warranty!!!!
cost of repair is £1850 roughly. Just surfing on net clutch in 1.6litre a3 diesel seems to be weak point. Car is not old and not done enough mileage to cause this level of breakdown. I am bit lost and would appreciate any advice to handle this and avoid any unnecessary payout.
