The lights in the footwells come when I unlock the doors....then go off when the doors are closed,

I'm read some where that it's possible to enable the footwell lights to remain on whilst driving and dim them via the mmi ,

couldnt find the post in VCDS tricks.

can some one point me in the right direction- many thanks

In my C6 it's just done from the 'interior lighting' option in the cars MMI, not via VCDS

Are you sure it's not simply turned off in MMI, then it will still light for opening but not when driving?

It's probably in the VCDS tricks thread as well but Google is quicker :)

The instructions for the hidden menu are for MMI high (tech pack) - no idea if/how this works on cars with standard MMI. You have to enable the hidden menu before you can open it: Google Translate (https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&sl=de&u=http://www.stemei.de/pages/coding/audi-a6-4g/mmi-plus-hidden-menue.php&usg=ALkJrhhxZC5TIVpzVTbvKGyj1QfZQ4kKAA)

hi many thanks for the above - I have now enabled the "ambient lighting" via the Hidden Menu- and it's now in the MMI menu under "CAR".
