Q7 newbie.. Fault code 00814..(N247) Please help!!

Hi Guys,

First post on the forum so I don't know if this has been covered before but I've got an active fault code which turns on the ESP warning light on the dash. (Doesn't go into limp mode).

The car is a 2007 Q7 3.0 tdi. Which has typically just ran out of the garages warranty that I bought it from!! 😡

Fault code reads - 00814 - Solenoid for brake pressure (N247). 012. Electrical fault in circuit.

Does anyone know if this is a common or a known fault?!

Any info would be greatfully received before I take it to the main ********!!

So it turns out it WAS something in the Brake servo that was at fault... Possibly down to a split diaphram causing a low pressure or just a faulty pressure soleniod located inside the servo. (Won't know for sure untill I strip the servo down and investigate further).

Audi wanted £492 for a new brake servo.. Plus £99 to diagnose the fault and then 5 hours labour to fit the new one.. Total cost £1100!! Ouch!!...

I got a brand new genuine Audi brake servo from a specialist parts broker for £275 and had it fitted at a local garage for £300.. Total price £575.. Makes you wonder just how Audi dealers justify their prices??!!!
