I've been looking into this myself and its looking like that is the Audi dealer price for a service. I found out today the labour rate is £115 + vat/ hour.
And I thought Land Rover were expensive at£100/ hour + vat.

Personally, s long as my car is still under manufactures warranty, then I ill pay the dealer prices for piece of mind an come back in the eventuality of a screw up occurring.

Audi still offer a price match service, try and get a quote from a local independent that meets the requiremjents to match the price:

My car is over 3 years old so I was offered 299 total cost for two services (one major and one minor). Seems Audi probably like others charge more for first three years and then offer incentives after that to keep customers. 299 is cheaper than my Indy for two services.

I was talking to the service manager about the 3 year and over costs. It makes more sense to do the 2 service deal, than pay for the two individual costs, considering there is only about £5 of a difference, if I remember the figures correctly.

Yeah, I was due a major service so it worked out cheaper to book two at 299 than just the major one at 309.

You need to get a quote from a VAT registered garage within 15 miles driving distance from the Audi garage you want to match the price. The quote must state that the independent will be using genuine Audi parts.

I've just had Birmingham Audi match a price for my 54,000 mile service, they wanted £360 and have now price matched at £155... :D

Sounds like they're playing a game to me.. The terms and conditions of the price match are a written quote stating the service will be done to Audi's schedule using genuine Audi parts, it doesn't say you have to have part numbers listed on the quote..

The quote I gave to Birmingham Audi was just an email from the garage confirming which service it was and that genuine parts would be used, there weren't any parts listed..

How did you get on with this? Is it Newcastle Audi you are getting the service done with? The reason I ask is that I am in the same boat as you and the same location! My first service is now due and I would rather not spend £350 on the service if I can get it done far cheaper.

Audi will need to be able to identify the garage and check they are VAT registered..

If they aren't a known Audi specialist, that might be why they are asking for part numbers..

Not sure about this from the various franchises etc, but I bought my Land Rover from Taggarts LR, which are a part of the Lookers Group.

I have went back to Lookers Audi beside where I live.

Land Rover, Lookers ran a service plan, so I asked about one for the Audi. It's a direct debit scheme that draws a monthly sum, to which the garage keeps against your agreement. Fast Forward to servicing time and you do not have to do anything. It also includes a free MOT when it is due. (again, I'm strictly talking as a Lookers customer).

It costs Circa £28/ month, so you do not miss it he me as parting with £400 all at once, plus gives you the full manufacturers service history.

I tried to get North East Audi to match a quote from Pitstop Newcastle which came out at £165. They said they couldnt match it without part numbers. I then got a quote from Swift Motor Engineering which they matched without part numbers as Swift but the parts directly from them so they were happy enough with that. That quote was £245 which was £80 more than Pitstop but still over £100 cheaper than Audi's original quote.

That seems a bit over what i've been quoted. Audi have fixed price services for cars over 3 years old, stated here;

Fixed price services < Servicing and MOT < Owners Area < Audi < Audi UK (https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/servicing-maintenance-mot/fixed-price-services.html)

And of course do a price match, find a good indie and make friends with them!
