Hi guys,
Just got myself a 2012 a6 at the weekend and im delighted to be back in an Audi again :) having some problems though. Im getting faults on the dash occasionally when i try starting the car and it can take me 15 mins to actually get the car to start. Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to vwaf.

Your video is private, we can't see it. Did you buy the car from a car dealer?

Sorry, just changed the privacy setting, should be able to see it now. I bought the car from a private dealer (not audi garage) but there is 3 months warranty. I just want opinions from the guys in the know on this forum to be sure the dealer doesnt take me for a ride...

By law it's a 6 month warranty. Take it back and let them sort it.

6 month warranty by law? I wasnt aware of that. This dealer is ver a 2 hour drive from me, is it up to me to bring the car to him?

It might not be as bad as it looks. Could be just a reset that is required to clear off all the faults.

its probably down to you to get the car to the dealer. That said, if you show them the video, they might allow you to take it to a local dealer and have them sort it at their expense.

You don't mention when in 2012 it was registered if it was 4th August or later then it is probably still under the Audi 3 year warranty so you could possibly by-pass the need to go back to the supplying dealer. If it is earlier than August then it is back to the dealer you bought it from. As others have said the Sale of Goods Act makes a dealer responsible for any faults that occur in the first 6 months of ownership regardless of any warranty they may offer.
