Hello... So I ran into a post dated 2012. It had no replies and it will help me out if someone can either agree or not. It read:
" 1.I placed the crankshaft to TDC by aligning the marking on vibration damper with lower*timing*beltplastic cover. At this point the #3 cylinder was at TDC. I locked the crankshaft using T-40026 tool.*
2.I set the cams on #3 cylinder (at the passenger side of the engine) upwards facing each others by approximately 45 degrees and then lock these cams with one of the T-40030 tool.
3.I set the cams on #5 cylinder (at the driver side of the engine) downwards facing each others by approximately 45 degrees and then lock these cams with the other T-40030 tools."
My main concern is the mention of "45 degrees" on cylinders 3 & 5 for proper cam positioning/timing. He mentioned that this information came from a bentley manual but I just wanted to make sure.
Thanks!
