3.0 tdi engine oil

Hello

Just wanted to know what the best oil is to use for my 3.0 tdi q7 on a 61 plate?
Need to top up so wanted to know what I should buy and the grade of oil needed. Read it needs to be 5w30 and mobil 1 is recommended.

Any approved 507.00 5w30 LongLife oil , usually VW's own brand Quantum is cheapest .

Cheaper again are lots of non approved " meets or exceeds the requirements of ....."

Ok thats great. Read good things about mobil oil so may get 1 litre of that as its just to top up really.

On oil does anyone know how easy it is to attach the oil level sensor so it can be read through the mmi. I enabled it through secret menu but dont have the sensor i believe
