Hi
I am attempting to change the temp sensor on my Golf V5 2001 tonight - can someone please advise whereabouts it is?
Regards
Kevin
Interior temp sensor for the climatronic?
Exterior temp sensor for the DIS/climatronic?
Coolant temp sensor?

Hi Mycar
I believe it is the exterior temp sensor as I had the following response re my original post about my temp gauge going from 90 degrees and then bombing to zero.
response was as follows - " The temp gauge problem will be the temperature sensor playing up. This caused the same problem with my 2000 1.8 cabrio, as well as erratic idling and overfuelling as this sensor does more than feed the temp gauge. It is easy to replace and costs about a tenner (from eurocarparts). It will have a cable with 4 wires going into the top and is held in by a plastic circlip (be quick in changing it cos when you remove it the coolant will come out ! "
Does this sound right?
Thanks for your help
Kev
Nope, that'll be your coolant temperature sensor.
