Is there really much difference in modern brake disks, need to replace rear disks & pads just wondering on what anyone's experience's have been.
Sounds like one of my rear calipers is on its way out so thinking on doing disks & pads at the same time (hopefully getting caliper done on warranty)

Have been quoted £300.00 for 1 caliper + disks & pads.

also 1 of the fans behind the radiator has stopped, have been quoted £700.00, hopefully done on warranty, but will keep you posted.

Do a search, there is no specific brand to get, it's all down to your own preference and budget. I can't fault my apec discs and ferodo premier pads.

I recently did mine all round. Went with ATE this is what was originally on the car from Audi.

Beware of cheap discs ! Brembo are a quality disc manufacturer.

Just got Pagid rears on the passat, some sort of zinc finish on them stops the top hat rusting straight away as well.
have also used the TPS 'economy'discs before, think that range is called something else now but as good as OEM imo.

Pagid for me
On my VW Passat, my Audi A6 and my Jaguar XJ X358 LWB
Some good prices through Eurocarparts, and Pagid have iirc 24k miles or 2 years warranty with them too
