My parking sensors have gone belly-up (constant tone, followed by flashing light on the switch and more importantly no sensor response!!!)... following other threads I have traced the potential problem to one of the front sensors - it is not "ticking" when I get on my hands and knees.

The back sensors seem easy enough to get to but the front ones seem to be harder to access... it there an easy way to do this or do I have to get the whole front bumper off? (NB: its one of the "middle" ones).

Is this going to be a main dealer event? :crying:

Ah-ha.. it gets better! This morning the system worked for one reversing event... obviously the sensor is good, it looks like the wiring is at fault. Still no joy on getting to the bleeding thing yet....

Can the centre trim strip that the sensors sit in "pop out" with the aid of a screw driver (or do you need to release a clip on the reverse)?? (I'm guessing that you do need to relaese a clip on the back or they'd be easy prey for someone!)

Got it... the insert panel on the bumper does pop out from the front. Using an old school plastic ruler (to avoid damage) you can "pop" the end of the trim out (nearest the door) and then work along to the front of the car.

The PDC sensors have short wires to them so its not like it drops away, but there is enough give to un-clip the sensor/sensors for easy replacement... was a 5 minute job!! Swapped the non-clicking one with one from the rear scuttle (as this is easy to change), checked it was clicking and then pressed it all back together. Can't believe how simple it is when you know how!

New PDC sensor (Part# 7M3 9191 275 A) available on Amazon or Flea-bay for about £11...
