PTC auxiliary heater for Golf.

My PTC heater has gone down, common problem apparently, anybody know where to get a replacement?

Part number is 1k0 963 235 E, it's £400 from a dealer.

It is a very common problem for the J604/Z35 to have a problem on the early Golf 5 and in every case except one where I have seen this code the owner has been of the "sod it, I will live with it" attitude and they are £515.89, not £400...

They are not available aftermarket as far as I can find out but it is worth checking the wiring at the unit as it is prone to burning out and correct alignment of the earth connection upon re-assembly is vital as incorrectly fitting the cable can cause a fire.
