Hi all,
A couple of months ago the EML appeared in my Golf 2.0 SDI. The car was running fine, but I still took it to a friendly indie garage: they said the code was about faulty glow plugs, changed them and reset the warning light.
In a couple of weeks, however, the light went on again. I took the car back to the garage, and the computer shown it were glow plugs again, even though everything was fine and no fault could be seen after resetting the warning. Guys in the garage just cleaned the contacts in glow plugs, and that was it.
However, a couple of weeks after that (a few days ago) the light got back. Again, all this time the car's been running perfectly fine.
Any ideas on what could be the reason here?
