Hi All,

Its been a while while but came across some information which I thought may be of use to others. Currently getting my fronts changed and due to vwfs insisting on a couple of things I had to go to the dealer to get the tyres. Although interestingly they recommend that on Quattro systems you cannot run axles more than 2mm out, therefore all 4 tyres have to be replaced every time any needs changing... Very glad I went for the 3 year package... I expect I'll go through these new ones and hopefully another set by the time the contract comes to an end in a year. In total that would be 3 full sets of tyres!

Yes, I took the same view on my Quattro, that all 4 would probably need replaced at the same time.
Over the three years I would probably need a least 1 set of full tyres maybe 2.

Gone through 2 in 2 years so far.

So, would this mean that if you were to suffer an unrepairable puncture in one tyre then you would need to replace all 4, or find a part worn tyre to match the other 3 ? and, would the 3 year package cover the undamaged/unworn tyres?

This would prevent me from getting a Quattro next time!

Punctures are not covered under the tyre plan. But this is only a recommendation to have them that close. I've had that very situation and just put a part worn on. But as it is a recommendation after all and seems to be adhered to when the tyres are replaced.
