Recently my car revs seem to stick at 1400 rpm when driving if I let go of accelator pedal the revs sit at 1400, when I slow down and stop the car they sit at 1400 then once car is stopped go to 900. On idle and in neutral they stay at 900. If car is in motion and i put into neutral gear revs srop to 900. So far i have scanned with vcds diagnostics abd found no codes also have taken egr valve and throttle body apart and cleaned although they want that dirty. Has anyone had similar issues

Just a thought.....this could be normal gearbox behaviour. It adapts to driving style and conditions (i.e. driving up or down hills) and I find that revs can sometimes be maintained higher as well. 1400 is not that much higher than tickover. Not saying that this is the issue but it doesn't sound that unusual - it's rare for the engine revs to drop to tickover at any time other than stationary.

I have the same engine/gearbox as you, my car is a 2009 but 2010MY.

Have just checked, and my engine stays at exactly 1000rpm with foot off the accelerator.

Mine started doing the same thing today. In conjunction with this, the fan has been staying on which suggests the DPF going through a self clean.
I'll be taking mine on a decent run (instead of normal town driving) to see if it clears but I suspect the two things are related and am not overly concerned at the moment.

Quick update....

The revs and fan on my car are now back to normal. I haven't done anything in particular except as mentioned in the post above, a couple of decent runs keeping at 70mph for 15 minutes at a time.
