since getting my 53 plate 4motion passat (TDI) I've been trialling many brands of tyre, as the ones it came one (Matador) were terrible.
I then progressed to some winter tyres (dunlop ultragrip) they were great loved them
then I had a set of tyres on rims to fit, (nexen at rear and continental on front), hated the nexen, so I burnt them off used the continentals so I had the lot changed to Uniroyal rain expert (205 55 16)
Hated the life out of these, had then on for 2000miles and just horrible horrible spongy feel.
So I had them ripped off once I had burnt the heck out of them en-track
Just had these New Michelin Cross Climates fitted and ooh errr, they feel nice.
Extra Load as standard so nice looking sidewall without huge bulges.
They dont seem to wallow as much as the uniroyals despite being the same size etc.
And for an extra £5 per corner (+vat) I'm laughing!
Any idea on the best tyre pressur for these?
car says to run at 44psi when its fully loaded, but that's HIGH!
Max pressure for these is 50 so within limits just gets me thinking...
