Evening all,

the dreaded parking buzzer has failed in my 2006 saloon & I have ordered a new one. I have heard conflicting stories as to where its location is. I've its on the rear shelf but I've also heard its on the rear pillar drivers side.

Could somebody confirm and possibly show me pictures of where it is? I'd be forever grateful.

Many thanks

Hi, I have the same problem with my B7 A4 Avant. What was the part number for the buzzer and how did you find that out please?

Thanks

this is the part number for my Saloon: 8E0919279

There were plenty on ebay.

I think yours maybe behind the trim in the boot. Not too difficult to remove it. Move of an issue replacing it to look standard.

Mine fortunately was under the little speaker grille on the rear shelf. It popped out from underneath. Placing it back in was a bugger but a pair of long nose pliers sorted it.

If you look at your rear shelf there should be a speaker grille type item. Use a flat head screwdriver or flat item to pop it off. From there you should see the buzzer. see the buzzer. The method I used to free the screws from the plastic grips was to tap them from underneath with a hammer. The problem is putting it black into place. Once you finally get the screws through you will need somebody cabin side to hold the screw in place whilst you tighten underneath. As I didn't there's an irritating rattle, I just need one of my kids to hold the screwdriver in place next time.
