Hi everyone well I've wrestled my poorly v8 out of the car this weekend and removed the dead clutch and DMF but now I want to remove the timing covers at the back I've hit. Problem how do I put the engine on an engine stand? I've got a Clark one which is rated at 350kg so more the. Man enough but I can't bolt it to the flywheel end as the chains are there so any ideas I've seen some bolt holes on the face of the engine but not sure how to mount the engine any ideas grateful

Maybe best to have it hanging off a crane with a leveling bar so you can work on it the way you want...

Hi thanks for the reply that's how I have it at the moment I was going to buy some M12 bolts today to remove the aux belt so I can fit the one bolt and mount the stand to the front of the engine the holes are roughly in the same place as the gearbox mounts on the back of the engine and see what happens just bit worried as don't want to screw engine up
