Traffic alerts on MMI Nav plus

Hi,
I'm trying to find out if the MMI Navigation Plus as fitted to SE Technic A4s gives traffic updates, and therefore calculates the best route and ETAs taking traffic into consideration, or whether that only works with the Phone Prep - High addition.

The MMI navigation will utilise dynamic traffic avoidance when switched on via settings. This means the route is automatically optimised using TMC traffic info. If the MMI does not show a detour route when a traffic jam has been reported, this is because the estimated time required for the detour is longer than the estimated time required for remaining on the route with the jam.
You do get a verbal instruction that the route has been altered due to current traffic conditions and the mileage and ETA will change on the display to reflect this.

Not sure which year you're thinking about, but I've got it on my MY 2010 one with MMI Navigation Plus. To be honest, the traffic isn't very detailed or accurate, and the ETAs are not at all accurate if there are delays. A far better solution is to mount your phone on your dashboard and use Google Maps navigation. It's vastly superior. I don't think I'll ever bother paying for built-in satnav again.
