Audi A6 C6 Cruise?

Hi All,

I have recently got myself an Audi A6 c6 2005 2.7 saloon model.. have fiddled with some things and updated the MMi 2g system to latest firmware.. have lost the battery option and the instrument option (of which i have seen many guides to get back so not fussed, got cable coming soon to do some vcds)

I have a question regarding the cruise control option.. my dad has same A6 but 2007 model (mmi 2g) and when he sets cruise he gets a speed indication (ie it shows what speed the cruise is set at on the speedo) i dont seem to have that.. i turn it on and the MPG still shows? is this something you select? am i missing something or is that as i assume VCDS job?

sorry if its a stupid question.. new car!

Try the selector button on the right hand stalk. There are a number of menus, you may be in the wrong one.

Most of the early instrument clusters didn't have the cruise speed indication, only the green icon. There's nothing wrong, just an early cluster fitted to your early car. I think MY2907 was the change for the cruise speed indication.

As far as I know, my 2007 car doesn't have the cruise speed indicator but it does have an option in the DIS between the dials to display current speed digitally which seem to me to be pretty much the same thing. And you can set it to either MPH or KMH for continental driving, very useful.

Or I may be talking about the same thing of course.

Thanks for reply guys.. doesnt appear and it looks to be the same cluster.. i have actually discovered that when i updated to 5570.. i lost the battery menu, instriment cluster menu (this may be on it?) and also possibly the audi parking menu? (as i have sensors)

anyhoo my question.. can anyone help me with setup of vcds.. as i have heard its easy to enable the hidden menu to get these options back.. i purchased:

would that work? i quickly plugged it in and downloaded the trail/free vcds and it doesn't seem to connect to car?
