Hi all
Well I'm back in an Audi after quite a few years in Octavia vrs'.
I was a member on here then drifted away to Briskoda for obvious reasons.
However my missus has had quite a lot of back ops and the vrs ride was too harsh for her so we are back in an A4 SE.
Taking a while to get used to it and although I've searched on here I can't find the answer so..........
The car a "55" B7 A4 has a colour DIS and the controls for the sat nav by the handbrake. (CD in boot).
I'm confused because some site say bns4 is with a red dis and bns5 has a colour screen in the middle of the dash whereas I seem to have a *******ised version of it!
Am I right in thinking this is the Bns 4.x ?
If yes, it has a 2006 DX disc- which I'm happy to upgrade as long as it allows postcode searching - does it?
Am I right in saying the firmware gets updated by the new disc?
Is it worth swapping out the cd reader in the boot for a dvd reader and would it still come up on the DIS.
Any help would be appreciated.
