So I have an A6 avant s-line (12 plate) coming next week. Quite excited and thought I'd spend the time waiting, seeing how I can improve what is already a great car.

Its not exactly flush with features (in fact I'm not even sure what it does do) but I'm sure it doesn't have many if any, extras. I have however been reading with excitement all the VCDS tricks and retro fits that you guys have done and hope I can eventually do some of them too.

I am still trying to learn the lingo though and most of the Three and four letter acronyms are alien to me.

What I want to know is, what you guys consider to be essential upgrades and what do you suggest I do to get the most out of my new purchase. Would love some kind of television or DVD player.

Whilst I'm not exactly flush with cash, I will consider spending a few hundred quid if need be.

I'm looking forward to your suggestions, the VCDS tricks thread got me quite excited.

Cheers

Until you know the spec it's impossible to say what is needed for upgrades as so many upgrades depend on different modules which you may already have. You need to get the sticker with codes from the wheel well (hopefully) and put the codes into an online audi vw options code reader.http://prsearch.planetvag.com
Kufatec has a number of upgrades available but a few hundred won't get you much unless you have a decent spec to start with. Give yourself a shock and see what's available by looking at that site!
Good luck with the new car.
