Approaching some traffic lights today and a brand spanking new RS7 in bright red pulled up beside me OMG it was beautiful.:o
Then when he turned right and I saw the indicators I nearly pranged into the back of a truck. It was like something from Knightrider.
I must say I can't wait for those 6 magic numbers to appear ;)
To all you owners that have these lights :You_Rock_

I hoped this was going to be a post telling me how good the Pre-sense system was and how it stopped the car for you. Ah well, the important thing is you missed hitting anything!
I love my stripy indicators - I sometimes unlock and lock the car on the driveway at night just to see them. Wife things it's a bit childish....

They are very unique and striking at first but personally I don't like em as much, the fact the zip to the outside is a novelty. I prefer the non facelift version, nice crisp solid yellow all the way and I would suspect they are safer and more visible due to the fact they are instantly full length and don't take a while to light up.

Yep, I think it is so cool. But then again I am a car tart. lol
I think that the sequencing indicators are a great idea but, unfortunately, we can't have them here in the US. In fact, we don't even get amber turn signals here, we get red.
If sequencing indicators are a good idea then why are not a good idea on the front too?

They are available for the front - but only as an option as part of upgraded headlights. Bit bizarre...
Would that be the "Matrix" headlights?
BTW - we can't get the Matrix in the USA either.

Matrix lights have the sweeping indicators (they are actually swisher than the rears, I think), not sure if LED headlights have them. Irritating for you not having matrix in the USA, I guess that that piece of legislation preventing them being fitted (from around 1967 I think?) will get updated soon.....

Got my A6 allroad last week and although the sweeping indicators are nice I don't see them myself😡. However the matrix headlights are stunning. Been out driving by myself at night just to admire the light snakes coiling in front of me

What sort of cost was involved M1itchy, and was it a straight swap, unit for unit or was there VCDS involved? It's the one mod I'd consider doing on my Avant when S/H clusters start appearing.

Hi, yes it was pretty much a straight swap, a wire needs to be run between the outside and inside modules though (I assume it's to do with the sweeping effect). Took me about an hour to fit both sides.
As for cost, they aren't cheap. They are sold by BKS or cetecarcoding which is where I got mine from. I paid just over €1000

€1000?:aargh4: **** that!! I'll wait. If I can get them from a damaged vehicle in a few months for a couple of hundred I'll consider it but I'm not wasting that sort of money.
Does look good though :beerchug:
