Hi
My 2006 a4 has just failed its mot as the 6 dust covers on the front suspension joints have worn.
Fair enough.... but as they arent available separately i have to buy 6 replacement arms too at vast cost! (So the garage says)
I'm amazed, anyone else have the same issue or know a cheaper solution?
Ta!

Ps the garage says the arms and joints are fine, it is purely the covers alone need replacing as these are an mot item

You can buy universal covers separately, I personally don't rate them, if the covers are split all sorts has already got into the ball joints so failure won't be far away. You could change them just to get through the test but I would still change the arms as soon as, only buy oe, febi or lemforder or you will be buying again very soon.
