Which air con compressor do I need?

My air con doesn't work. My mechanic tells me it's the compressor. I'm trying to source one myself to save a few quid but I can't work out which one I need. Can anyone tell me?

Car is 2007 a4 2.0 tdi sline multitronic

Do you need the vin number?

does anyone know the part number, even better could anyone send me a link to a replacement unit.

I picked one up from gfs, but it was the wrong one

I would let your mech sort it out as whatever you get if theres any issues at all hes rightly going to say you supplied the part!
