Hi
any help much appreciated.......econ button works (turns on and off).... Fuses in dash are fine.... I've changed the g65 pressure switch and had it gassed up and still it doesn't get cold......I have noticed tho,I don't have any rad fans working???? Temp gauge doesn't go above 90 mark, could this have anything to do with my troubles??? Or....on my aircon comp has no "clutch" on front, but like something that feels like a rubber band thing on front?? Can't hardly get my hand down there tho to see.

All a/c works pretty much the same, you switch it on and if the pressure sensor sees enough pressure in the system it tells the compressor clutch to engage.
My first check is using a piece of rag around the charge point use a small screwdriver to give the valve centre a quick little push, there should be a quick release of pressure, the system is at roughly 4 to 6 bar ish.
Ive just fixed the a/c on my land rover and it was a corroded alloy pipe, it held a vac on test but was empty a few days later.I only found it as I pressurised the system and got some soapy water on the pipes.
If you have pressure then you need to test the clutch by supplying your own power supply direct to it, if the clutch engages and the pipes start to get cold the system is sound and you have an electrical problem.
