Hi got diags run on car throttle body needed replacing. So swapped out . same
light re appeared on dash twice even after replacing. Car has 160000 FSH
no loss of power everything ok.
New fault code - 7859-p2015 intake manifold flap position sensor (bank 1) implausible signal
-mechanical failure.

This is exactly what's happened to me, the fix for this guy is unknown - the part marked blue in the post I believe is what has been replaced on my car -
throttle body.
Car has been serviced regularly and drives fine, and only other "history" to car is that it has had egr sensor replaced (I think) 20,000
miles ago and a forced dpf regen - 20,000 miles ago.
They have used a 3rd party throttle body from euro car parts but it's the same brand that audi use - vdo/siemens.
They also said they found excessive build up on intake manifold flap - "may require new intake flap or intake manifold" was their
comment
Further searching on another forum brings up this

Which would suggest I may need a new intake manifold.

"The main problem is that the arm controlling the flap starts to jam hence the fault reading." - forgive my ignorance but I don't know which part is being cleaned
here - apologies.
The question I ask which I appreciate maybe difficult to answer is would it be likely that only 1 of the parts was
originally faulty, or would both parts (throttle body & intake manifold) of "gone" wrong at the same time.
Many thanks for any info.
