Hi,

I was driving through my estate the other day and stupid drove over some large debris (rock) in the road which made a loudg grating noise. I got out to have a look and it looks like it has shredded a part of the under tray located just beneath the rear foot well behind the driver seat (close to the rear jacking point). Also it appears that "something" is dented behind the under tray.

Couple of question :
1. Does anyone know what would have been dented ?

2. How much would a replacement under tray be ? It's a long one that goes along the side of the car on one side (driver side).

Thanks in advance
Anand

go to garage, get it up i the air and have a proper look making sure no brake pipes or fuel pipes have been damaged as they are lots more critical than undertrays.

If all is OK as pointed out by Zollaf. Undertrays are available off ebay

i paid £25 for the drivers side plastics, i damaged mine doing over a speed bump which also had a ditch dug out of the road straight after it, resulting in the plastics being pulled off by the speed bump when the front end went down into the ditch, thought it was going to cost a lot more than it did

When driving around one's estate, it is advisable to use an allroad or similar quattro/4x4 vehicle with more ground clearance. When surveying one's marches, one becomes accustomed to avoiding areas of more difficult terrain, and indeed makes note of any knowes or similar obstructions that might need removing possibly with the aid of an appropriate landowner's grant.

Perhaps I may have the wrong end of the stick... :)

+1, on the underside of the driver side is the fuel return cooler and supply pipes.

Nigma, you should inspect Link:- item 6 (http://www.partsbase.org/audi/audi-a6-s6-avant-quattro-a6q-eu-2008-20125-fuel-line-heat-dissipator/) thoroughly, fuel supply pipe is the straight length and cooler is the snaked piece.
