Hi
As the title suggest I have an A4 2.0 tdi (S Line) that on first start up in the morning puffs out a cloud of smoke. This quickly clears and then is fine until the next day. It has done this for a while but it has got noticeably worse over the past few months. I can't say I have noticed any change in performance, fuel consumption or engine note.
The car has done 152 K miles and had the dreaded oil pump change inc turbo about 18K ago. Its last service was June 2014, 5K miles ago, this included all filters inc Air.
Its gets little use as I live less than 1/2 a mile away from work, but it does get a good run out to France twice a year. For these journeys I have always put injector cleaner onto the fuel.
I have owned the car for five years and has been meticulously maintained, with an annual oil change inc wynns flush and Mobile 1 esp oil, this has been at 7K miles.
Does anyone have any suggestions or is it simply age and mileage ?
Many thanks in advance
Ian
