how to locate tank fuel pump

i have a 2007 passat estate tdi and need to replace the fuel pump which is in the tank as its making some strange noises but cant find it i have ,i bhad lifted the back seat up but cant see it does any one know thanks

ok i found where the pump is but how do you remove the large nut is there a special tool

the fuel pump is under the rear seat .so the question is there a special tool to undo the locking nut holding the pump and sender unit in

Use an old really blunt screwdriver or a piece of 1x1" timber and give it a tap with a hammer it's anti clockwise and will unscrew by hand once you get it moving.
