Hi,

daytona grey with black leather On a PCP - hoping to collect mid April. My questions:

1. My last car on PCP had GAP insurance , scotch guard and paint guard. Do they always have that as standard as wasn't impressed on paint guard and scotch guard. Would prefer to get a pint protection done myself

2. Can anyone suggest a good make of roofbars as we will use a roof box - come holiday time.

3. Rear bumper - any suggestions for protection ? - it will get shopping bags dragged over it by the Boss !!

Hoping to collect mid April

Thank you

These are all high margin options for the dealer and best avoided. Buy GAP from a third party such as gapinsurance123.co.uk, much cheaper than Audi and you can defer the first year when (in most policies) your insurance company will do full replacement. Scotchgueard and paint protection much cheaper from a third party detailer or even yourself. The only fabric to cover with scotchquard is the carpet and if you are really worried a can of the stuff costs about £10 from the high street.

Most would recommend Thule roofbars. I use Green Valley ones on my avant but I don;'t think they do them for the saloon

There are a number of companies that will provide a clear protector for the bumper if you use google (other search engines are available!. Not used one myself so can't comment

I bought gap from gapinsurance.co.uk for £163 RTI as opposed to £599 from Audi (replacement car gap cover was £198 from third party) and yes deferred the first year as car insurance covers the first year. However make sure you purchase the gap when you get the car as most gap companies have an 180 day purchase clause before allowing to take on the gap.

I bought Audi bars for mine. Good price from ebay but was a dealer. On my wife's car I got a load liner with a flap which folds out over the bumper. Was tempted to get some of the protective film fitted to the bumper by the dealer but didn't bother.
