My Black Edition A6 Avant will be here mid May.
ill be doing 10k pa
is it worth me going onto the fixed term servicing?
again would it be worth taking out the tyre plan too (20" tyres)
thanks in advance

A lot of people swear by 10 k or 12 months other people believe Audi about long life servicing. I like fixed

I have the same dilemma, I pick up my A6 Black Editon in a couple of weeks. Mine will be on personal contract hire over 3 years and 15k miles pa. The figures quoted are £31 per month for service and maintenance and £56 for service, maintenance and tyres.
The car will be in variable servicing, so every 19k miles, so it comes down to how many tyres I will go through in 45,000 miles and how hard I am on the brakes.
My my inclination is to take the SMT for peace of mind and budgeting.

Hmm bit of a dilemma that. It will cost just over 2 grand including tyres? You'll be on your 2nd replacement tyres in 45k miles and 2 services. It doesn't sound too bad are you getting 20" tyres?

Yes, 20"s. I guess a full set is £800-£900. Two sets of fronts and a set of rears would make £2000 a bargain.

I think your right add discs and pads few bulbs and you're on the pigs back.

How do you know what servicing plan I will be on?
the full package, servicing, parts and tyres is £39 per month for me for 3 yrs.
it does seem a no brainier but I wonder what the small print is regarding the tyres.
otherwise it does seem a no brainier for peace of mind £1400 over 3 years

Ask Chris the mod of this forum, he knows about servicing plans first hand.

I'm nearly 18 months into a 3 year service and tyre plan, 12k a year, £50 a month, so far so good, just had 2 fronts replaced at 16k, 3mm of tread left on them.
Mine is a BE with 20 inch wheels, only had one service so far. Working for me.

Sorry for the simple questions but I can ask the supplying dealer for it to be on fixed service and can I take it to any dealer for the work
thanks

I would also get tyre insurance £259 for three years, so combined with the tyre element of Audi SMT package, the tyres should be fully covered!
I am assuming that my car will be set to variable servicing as my contract is for 15000 miles per year. Hopefully Chris (the MoD) will be along to add his experience.

PI would say it depends on what you declare as your annual mileage, 10,000 is the threshold between fixed and variable I see to remember. You will be able to use any Audi dealer for servicing and maintenance.

I've been given a different quote of £29 per month for full service and tyres for 3 years with 10k per annum.

does this include parts too? What size tyres? If so that's a right bargain

Yes includes parts.
Service only £20
Service and maintenance £24
Service, maintenance and tyres £29
Tyres are 18in twin spoke.
Wasn't sure about the tyre bit as T&C's only cover wear and tear and only covering less than 10k per year. However the £5 difference between the maintenance and tyre bit is only £180 over 3 years which is around the cost for decent 1 tyre.

That's the difference then as mine are 20".
what spec are you getting, did you get it from Cardiff Audi

It sounds like the best thing to do for only £29 PM.
No got it from Bridgend Audi as previous VW was with Sinclair and just made sense to stay with them.
Spec is 2.0lt ultra S-line avant in Mythos Black with lunar silver inside. The only other options I added were front heated seats and folding mirrors.

Can anyone tell me the registration period for taking out the fixed price servicing?
The last car (Skoda) I had through VWFS allowed a period of 90 days from first registration to take out a new car service plan. Is this the same with Audi?

Just asked the dealer could I change mine to fixed servicing and they were fine with this.
So for £39 per month for the full Audi package its a no brainier, especially with 20" tyres
