Click, Click, Click

Recently when getting in my car, 2014 A6 Avant, it has started making the above sound in a sequence of 3 clicks repeated until I press the start button. It never used to do this and has only started to do it in the last day or two, it doesn't apear to be an issue , but any ideas what is going on?

Mine makes the same noise but only after start at the beginning of my journey. Appears to come from somewhere around the lights switch.

Where do the clicks come from? Mine clicks a lot from the boot area where there is a fusebox with a few relays in, although it's not continuous. The only other clicks I get are during driving when the auto handbrake comes on.

I get a lot of whirring noises from the dashboard when the car is off too, but I think that might be the HUD mirror resetting itself.

If it's a relay, if you can work out which one is doing the clicking it'll give you a good idea what's causing it.

Appears to be from behind the heater/ac unit.

My wife's does that and I am sure it is vents opening.

As Scott K says, I've heard a few noises from the vents, although not continuous. More whirring/creaking than clicking though.

I've got MMI high and you can hear the hard disk in the DVD drive clicking and whirring as soon as you get in the car.
