Hello All,
I have bought myself a 2011 A6 2.0 TDI estate with multitronic gearbox. The car has just passed the 130,000 miles and is showing as due a service. I have had a quote from an Audi dealership of almost £800 for a major service and a cambelt and water pump change. I am Mechanically minded having stripped my Ford Cougar to a bare shell and put it all back together, I hate paying someone to do something I can do myself so would like to do the cambelt and water pump change saving myself a few hundred pounds. can anyone tell me or post up a link to the correct cambelt and water pump kit that I need to do this, the car is not under warranty and I will be getting the fluids done by Audi to keep the service history stamps.
This is possibly a bit backward but a little bit about myself, I am an ex member of the Royal Air Force, now employed as an IT Systems Manager. I enjoy driveway mechanics as a hobby and as already mentioned I have a Ford Cougar which I have been working on for a couple of years now to make into a show worthy motor. I have just started dabbling with RC Boats, I now have 2 one that is a standard cheap speed boat and the other I am currently increasing the engine size on.
I will be here quite frequently so i'm sure you will get to know me :drive:
