Hi, I'm starting to look at Audi A6's, and I'm a little confused about specific models or versions there may be.
I'm thinking about maybe 2006, possibly 2.7 diesels (budget around £4,5000)

A lot have very standard looking bumpers, don't do much for me from the front view. Then I found one ad that had a bumper ever so slightly different to the rest, with little flared lips on the bottom.
See Here: 27346

It doesn't appear to be an S-Line, there's no mention of a specific special edition or anything. Is this a factory upgrade of something, or something aftermarket.
It's subtle, but improves the look dramatically. Basically I'm now only interested in A6's with this bumper!

If I found a bumper like this on eBay I assume the same headlights and central grille would fit? Just the lower inserts I'd need?

I hope this is a simple question for those in the know!

Thanks!

The bumper is from a face lifted S-line A6(C6) 2009 onwards probably retro fitted by previous owner.

Thanks, that explains why I'm struggling to find any others like it in my price range! The 2009 face-lift - was that just bumpers and lights? What year did the whole shape change?

Or are headlights and grille still the same?

The face lift on the C6 model was introduced in late 2008-early 2009 with just some minor cosmetic changes such as a slightly different bumper and led daytime Runing lights on the front.Rear brake lights are also slightly different on the face lift. The new model A6 was introduced in late 2011 early 2012 also known as the C7.

Thanks! If the headlights are unchanged, then it's a little less daunting to tackle the facelift. I just sold my 2004 Volvo v50 that I facelifted with the front and rear bumpers and lights from the 2009 model and the difference was outstanding. Problem is the wife says I'm not allowed to do it to the next car!
I guess I'll stop looking out for a car with this specific bumper, now I know I won't find one in budget! Perhaps I'll concentrate on getting the car right in every other way, then keep an eye out on ebay for the bumper parts once I own one!
