Hi...
Just got an A6 2.0TDI Ultra Black edition and was wondering if there is a way to set the volume level for when I start the car.
The Golf GTD I had did have it, but up to now I can't find a setting anywhere.
Thx
Martin

Not as far as I'm aware. The volume will be at the same level as when parked.
Yes, I think that it is in the MMI Hidden Menu.

Nearly. It isn't as sophisticated as some other systems (notably the Golf) but comes back on at a preset level which can be lower or higher than when switched off. It can't be adjusted in the normal MMI, I'm not sure if it can be adjusted in the hidden menu.

... But overrides whether the sound had been muted or not :(.
Look at the hidden menu:
change the "Entertainment min" value in /audiomanagement/volumerangers to 0.

Thanks for the reply's guys...
I think I'm right in saying that I need VCDS to access the hidden MMI menu, which I don't have.
I tested out a few things yesterday, mainly the volume level when switched on.
It seems what ever volume it was last played at before been switched off it switches back on at that, tested from 2 to 20 (Which is loud)
In my golf I had the volume set at level 6 which was lower than I would normally listen to it.
I'd like mine set to 8 which again is lower sightly than I normally listen to it, but I don't understand how It can be set using the hidden MMI menu as there are two settings min and max.
Anymore help would be great, I know of a garage that can help with the VCDS if I can get an answer...
What year is your A6?
If a garage has a VCDS then they are probably familiar with the hidden menus.
I suggest that you buy your own Ross-Tech, you will want numerous items and you can check your own codes.
