I have an iphone 5c and MMI Plus but no Audi Connect. It says in the brochure that my car should be able to display email ans messages from mobile phone in selected language including read-out function provided the phone has the bluetooth profile MAP (Message Access rofile). My phone has MAP. Should I be able to use this function and if so how?
Many thanks.

I thought this only worked if you had a sim in the dash as my option to read messages disappears if I select to use a bonded mobile phone (Bluetooth) for calls rather than the dash sim.
I hope I'm wrong though as this sounds cool. Currently I just use siri to read any messages

Would bet you this doesn't work on the A6/A7. Possibly on MY2015 though.

Siri is your friend for this. Don't forget you can hold the iphone button and siri will connect over bluetooth.

I have a data SIM in the dash and my work Blackberry is used for voice via Bluetooth. I have 4 email accounts set up on my Blackberry and each of those accounts is listed individually on the MMI, with the messages displayed / read when selected.

Sounds like this was introduced for MY15.

I have a new (2016) A6 and cannot get email to be displayed in MMI. Phone (Motorola Droid Turbo) is connected and I have text messages working just fine but cannot seem to get the email connection to work. It seems like it should be automatic once connected. Any ideas?

Does this work on pre-facelift cars?

Siri is your friend for this. Don't forget you can hold the iphone button and siri will connect over bluetooth.
If you just hold the voice activation button on the steering wheel that'll activate Siri too.

Tested it. Pre-facelift with the latest MMI firmware (K900) does not work.
(Tested the same iPhone with a Volvo V60 and it worked fine).
