I'm struggling with getting the seat out, as per Gup's instructions in VW AUDI Forum (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?131820-Digital-Radio-DAB-Retrofit-Avant-MMI-2G-HIGH)
I can unclip the seat at the front, on the right-hand side fairly easily but the left-side seems to be more intransigent and I definitely can't get the seat to unclip at the rear.
Once the front is unclipped you need to push the seat to the rear and then the back unclips.
Push the front with one hand and then pull up the rear, you'll have to do a side at the time.

Yeah :) easier said than done. I managed to get the left-side free front & rear but noway could I push the seat back enough on the right to free the front clip. I've put the rear clip of the left-side back but I still can't get the right-side, far enough back to free the r-h front clip. I'm pausing to allow the stars before my eyes to vanish and the sweat on my brow to dry.
The front clip you pull up and the rear clip you push back to disconnect. Thats the way mine is anyway.

+1, mine was the same.

Mine was also a bit tricky the very first time on one side as well.
As it was a long time ago my memory hazily is recalling I may have used a long handle screwdriver or something with enough length to ping the rear retaining wire off the hook on the chassis.
You need to push that wire hook towards the rear for it to unhook, as one side is unhooked lift that side up slightly and view the hooking system. The side which is not unhooking but unclipping the front should lift up enough to use an object to unhook the cushion IMO.

I had the same trouble.
You have to pull up on the front ( a good hard jerk), get the front up first then get your knee behind it to push the seat backwards and at the same time pull the back of the seat up.
Before you put the seat back in, turn the seat upside down and put your foot by the side of the front clips to straighten them out again.
Before I put my seat back in, I covered the front clips with silicone grease to make it easy next time I take it out.
The picture says up and foreward - IT SHOULD BE UP & BACK

Cheers Roy. I was trying to push the seat back, after I unclipped the front but not in the exact way you've described. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow.

If you happen to have the folding rear seats, plus someone to hand to hold them out to a half folded down position (i.e. out of your face) I found it easier then with use of knee to lift out the back........
